BIG THINGS FOR 2004! So, with the continued success of --->POPSCENE, I've decided to expand my empire into other areas of interest, namely movies and a print publication... --->POPCINEMA will debut sometime in the next month or two, possibly at Dada, but I'm not sure at this point (right Jeff?) It will focus mainly on American and foreign, sci-fi, horror and non-mainstream films from directors like Takashi Miike, Guy Maddin, David Lynch, Kiyoshi Kurosawa, Mario Bava, Jean-Pierre Jeunet, Peter Greenaway, Seijun Suzuki and many more. I will also show TV shows or movies that are out-of-print, or unavailable in America at this time, including Heat Vision & Jack! This will be a FREE event to promote indie culture in South Florida... besides, charging money to exhibit a DVD is probably illegal. --->EJECTOR is the tentative title of a new, quarterly magazine to focus on local and worldwide indie culture, with the savvy of Giant Robot, the sophistication of RES, the immediacy of mid-'90s CMJ, and the irreverance of UNCUT.
